What is The Strong Mom Collective?

The Strong Mom Collective is a postnatal physical recovery and strength training program. A community for new and veteran moms. With 10 years of experience working with pregnant women and women in their early and late postpartum, and having been pregnant myself (with twins), I understand the importance of preparing for birth and then having a recovery plan postnatally.

Why this program focuses on the postpartum, is because I find that after our 6 week check up with our OB/Midwife we are provided almost no direction or support of how to start with recovery and strength training. This program provides you easy to follow exercises and workouts that have been created knowing that you had a human (or humans) come out of you.

It takes a village to raise a Mother and her children, therefore you will also have access to information and resources from other professionals within the perinatal community- pelvic floor physiotherapists, sleep coaches, lactation consultants, counsellors, postpartum doula support, etc. There will also be monthly member meet ups, such as outdoor workouts, hikes, workshops, pub dates; so that you can create a support system filled with amazing moms.


How is The Strong Mom Collective different from other online postnatal training programs?

This isn’t only a collection of exercise and workout videos, I have spent hours curating workouts that are simple, time efficient, and that progress safely. You won’t have to figure out what exercises to do and it what order, I have done that for you. All you have to focus on is doing the exercises correctly, getting stronger and feeling good!

I do not tell you to just engage your pelvic floor or pull your belly button to spine (which are not helpful cues), we spend time helping you reconnect to your pelvic floor, core, and breath. Once those foundations are solid we can take it to the next level with functional training exercises, pilates exercises, as well as low and high intensity training.

You access your workouts via the TrueCoach app which allows you to leave comments or questions about specific exercises or the workout. There is also in app messaging which makes communicating with me and accountability that much easier!

I’m here to help you have an empowered postpartum experience, where you feel supported, energized (as much as you can be as your child goes through sleep regressions), and you move pain free. Your fitness levels will increase, you will have a higher quality of life because you will be able to participate in the activities you love and that make you feel strong.


Who is The Strong Mom Collective for?

This program is for new Moms, Moms 6 months in, or Moms 10 years in.

For uterus owners who delivered vaginally or via c-section. Uterus owners with incontinence or prolapse.

For moms of all fitness levels. The exercises and workouts safely progress and modifications are provided.

Do I have to attend the virtual Group movement sessions?

While attendance is not mandatory for these virtual sessions, the purpose of these calls are to create community and support. The zoom session occurs once a month, on every third Tuesday @ 8:00 pm (MDT/MST) and are 30 minutes in length. I know parenting is hard, our schedules/routines are not the exact same every week, so if you miss your own workout, these sessions are an opportunity for you to get movement in.


What if I miss a workout?

You have access to all your past workouts on the TrueCoach app. So if you miss a workout, then you can go back to your ‘Past’ workouts and do the workout when you have time. Recovery, strength training, and taking care of our physical and mental selves, is not all-or-nothing. If you do 10 minutes every day or even every other day, that is much better than one workout every 10 days. You could even start a workout and only get half way through because your baby woke up from their nap or you don’t have enough energy for the whole thing. Every rep counts.


If I start in the 4th Trimester Program, but after the 3 months I am not ready to move on, can I repeat the program again?

Definitely! Every body, pregnancy, and birthing experience is different, so our postnatal journeys are going to be different. Also our babies schedules can be unpredictable in the beginning (really for the first year because they change so much) and so it is hard to create a consistent schedule for ourselves. So if you feel like you want more time in the 4th Trimester Program or the Postnatal Strength Rebuild Program, that is 100% doable. This isn’t a race, it is a long term commitment you are making to yourself and you need to meet your body where it is.


What if I have to pause/cancel my membership?

I understand that things change- jobs, finances, sickness, etc. If you are signed up for the Postnatal Strength Rebuild or Postnatal and Beyond programs there is a minimum 3 month commitment required. After 3 months, you are able to pause or cancel your membership. I will require 7 days notice. Please message me on TrueCoach or email me (anna@right2roamtraining.com). If your monthly payment is scheduled within the 7 day cancellation request, then the payment will be processed as usual and then your membership will be paused/cancelled 4 weeks after.

When your membership is paused/cancelled, your TrueCoach account will be archived and you will not have access to the workouts.
